Stamina of Curiosity is Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak's new multi-year project deepening and expanding Shanahan's evolving movement and performance research, including both solo and ensemble processes. Witness the project's first ensemble incarnation in Stamina of Curiosity: First, This, which was developed during a recent two-week residency on the stage at Alverno Presents! at Alverno College in Milwaukee.
“I am fascinated by the collision, marriage, negotiation, and collaboration between knowing and not-knowing; planning and spontaneity; curiosity and control. My process involves research in the =2 0 studio and in performance that expands my potential to move in a state of awareness where habit and new discovery remain in a constant dialogue that is exposed to, and further enhanced by, the alchemy of observers.”
– Molly Shanahan
